Fabio Meloni

Fabio is a perfumer born in a small town on the eastern coast of Sardinia, where the beauty of the still-wild landscape inspired his journey into the art of perfumery. As a trained biologist and herbalist, he studied at the University of Cagliari, where he later taught, and then honed his knowledge of extractive chemistry and perfumery among the lavender fields of Provence and the fragrance labs of Paris, eventually attending the FLORENCE FRAGRANCE SCHOOL. With his refined sense of smell, Fabio sharpened his creativity, leading him, from 2018 to 2023, to head research and development projects in cosmetics and perfumery between Sardinia and Milan.

His official debut in the field came with Learn Something Different (2018), an award-winning fragrance inspired by Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll—an imaginative scent evoking surreal florals and dreamy landscapes. From there, Fabio launched his own independent studio, Preparazioni Olfattive, where he collaborates with numerous brands to create exclusive and unique fragrances. In 2020, he crafted the entire Bramasole line, an olfactory journey that retraces the paths of Renaissance alchemists across Europe. His passion for teaching culminated in the book Applied Perfumery, which won over the Italian public and became the first composition manual sold in Italy.
