James Spivey

I am lifelong resident of Yorkshire. Born in Dewsbury, educated in Wakefield and further educated in Bradford. I now compensate for that provincial upbringing by travelling to fascinating places when I can, but not for too long lest my dogs feel neglected. I am a cameraman at ITV Yorkshire and have worked on Emmerdale for 14 years. As such I always thought I'd be writing scripts for period drama or possibly directing one, but the option of self publishing gives an unpublished writer the chance to break out and when lockdowns hit, I decided to write my first novel. I'm quite fond of it and hope you like it too. Now to start that tricky second album.

When not at work or writing I help rescue lost dogs and run an airbnb.
