Corey Elizabeth Jackson

Corey Elizabeth Jackson is a retired teacher and doting grandmother who lives with her husband Jim in Aurora, Ontario. Acting and singing in community theatre, and writing poetry have been two of her passions during the past few years. Her poetry has been published in Blue Unicorn, WestWard Quarterly and the October 2023 issue of Spaceports & Spidersilk. It has also been featured on The Society of Classical Poets website, and won two Honorable Mention awards in their 2023 and 2024 International Poetry Competitions. In The Ontario Poetry Society's national 2024 High Spirits Poetry Contest, Jackson won First Prize and two Honorable Mentions. In April 2025, her book, Death Kindly Stopped For Me, was awarded the BookFest First Place Award for Poetry Collections & Anthologies, and the Literary Titan Gold Book Award for Contemporary Poetry.
