Lulu Buck

Lulu Buck has been a public educator for twenty-six years and an award-winning children’s book author of “Sue’s Sky” and its Spanish counterpart “El Cielo de Susana”, “Magical Golden Whistle,” and newly released "The Boy with the Black Heart". Lulu just released a second edition of her first book, "Sue's Sky". This second edition has lessons and more skies to support teaching acceptance with children.

"Sue's Sky," Lulu's debut book, translated into Spanish as "El Cielo de Susana," delves into the important themes of acceptance, inclusion, and friendship. Committed to making a difference, Lulu has developed a comprehensive curriculum to empower educators and parents to create safe spaces for children. Recognized with the prestigious gold seal of approval from the Mom's Choice Awards and receiving two honorable mentions from the 2022 Purple Dragonfly Awards, "Sue's Sky" has been acknowledged as a 2023 Book Excellence Award Finalist in the "Children's Inspirational/Motivational" category. "El Cielo de Susana", the Spanish Edition, was awarded a bronze medal in the category of "Best Illustrations for an Educational Children's Book" and also received an Honorable Mention for "Best Illustrations Overall" through the 2023 International Latino Book Awards.
