Sybille Schmitz is working for more than 20 years as a lecturer, speaker and consultant for daycare center managers and early childhood education professionals in crèches, kindergartens, after-school care centers, family daycare, special education institutions, primary schools, and inclusive kindergartens. Her original profession is speech and language therapy. She also studied psycholinguistics (Master of Arts) with reflexive social psychology as a minor subject. From 2009 to 2012, she completed professional training as a systemic consultant and family therapist at the Society for Systemic Therapy and Counseling in Munich.
In 2017, she wrote the first German-language professional book on needs-oriented education, which was published by Don Bosco Medien. From 2018 to 2022, she developed a systemic and holistic educational concept for observing, describing, and supporting children's learning and developmental processes in early childhood education and care settings: the Systemic 360° Perspective according to Schmitz. This concept has also been published by Schmitz through Don Bosco Medien.
Among other things, she is known for developing the TREE OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT (How Children Grow, see Don Bosco Medien), which symbolically illustrates the most important principles of developmental psychology underlying an inclusive, holistic, needs-oriented, and child-centered approach to education.
With great enthusiasm, personal commitment, and extensive professional expertise, she provides training for educational leaders and professionals through continuing education and qualification programs, webinars, professional conferences, supervision, and specialist lectures—both online and in face-to-face settings.
