Burt D. Braunius Ph.D.

Burt Braunius is a seasoned educator, group facilitator, administrator, and author whose life experiences deeply inform his writing on spiritual formation and church education. As a devoted follower of Jesus, his approach to spiritual development is grounded in both academic expertise and personal faith journey, including his experience as a cancer survivor.

With decades of experience in Christian education and leadership development, Braunius has served as a church staff member, college and seminary professor, and administrator. His extensive academic background includes a PhD in Non-formal Education from Michigan State University, where he also earned an MA in Curriculum and Instruction. He additionally holds an MA in Christian Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a BA from Barrington College.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Burt finds his greatest joy in his roles as husband, father, and grandfather.
