Michael K. Bender is an author of non-fiction novels. He was a senior domestic and international executive and CEO of high technology, laboratory, and medical products companies. He served as a Foreign Service Officer at American Embassies in Nigeria, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. After leaving the Foreign Service, Michael was Senior Advisor to the Chairman of a diversified Middle Eastern Group and then Director of International Marketing of a mid-western consumer products group. Michael was also the Executive Director of a European IT Group and President of their U.S. operation. Before retiring, he tutored English as a Second Language and cultural English to students working in international organizations in Washington, D.C. He taught after-school English enrichment programs for grades 1 – 12 in Northern Virginia. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and an Executive Masters Degree in General Administration, along with a Certificate in International Law, First Degree with Distinction. He was a frequent international speaker on business, published articles globally on exporting, international trade, and business practices, and was the Editor of an English translation of a Persian romantic novel. He also published Visual Exercises for Academic Vocabulary. Michael received the International Trade Administration's Bronze Medal as its Outstanding Professional Employee and the Winter Max Award for Distinguished Service from the Princeton Language Center.
