Gabriela, a partial disability pensioner from the Swiss capital Bern, has an impressive life story. She
originally began her career as a clothing designer with a focus on women's clothing and also worked
partly in textile sales. She later obtained a trade diploma and specialized in the shoe and textile sector.
Until she was 28, she worked in product management for various brands in the Swiss market.
But then she experienced a serious life crisis that presented her with immense challenges. For many
years she and her care team fought for her survival and to deal with her mental illness. During this
difficult time, she learned a lot about “resources” and discovered crocheting as a way to find a break
from her thoughts. This simple hobby developed into a passion that eventually led to the founding of
her small business.
Since it was difficult for Gabriela to find a suitable job that would allow her to maintain her health, she
decided to start her own company BellArt Gabriela at the end of 2021. Since then, she has worked
with full dedication to building her company, which embodies her heart and soul, her hope and her
love. Since 2024, she has also been offering external courses in other companies, taking another step
towards a future in which she can live entirely from her company. She has achieved all this with her
passion for crocheting, her creativity and her belief in herself.
