Avery Cassell

Avery Cassell is a queer writer, poet, cartoonist, and artist. Raised in Iran, they live in a pink haunted house in Western Massachusetts with their rescue cat.

Their books include the Masculinities Coloring Book, Resistance: The LGBT Fight Against Fascism in WWII; Behrouz Gets Lucky, The Solstice Gift, the historic Butch Lesbians Coloring Books, Her Own Path: Poems by Ida VSW Red (ed.), Burning: poems for resistance, and Smoldering: poems of desire. Their queer, kinky erotica is included in several anthologies.

Avery Cassell's awards include a Poet's Seat finalist award for "LA is Burning", a Lambda finalist award for Resistance: The LGBT Fight Against Fascism in WWII, and the National Leather Association 2020 Pauline Reage Novel Award for The Solstice Gift.
