Ron Schack Ph.D.

Dr. Ron Schack is the Managing Director of The Charter Oak Group, LLC, a performance management and public policy consulting firm based in Glastonbury, CT. He holds an MPA and a doctoral degree in political science from the University of Connecticut. Ron has expertise in performance measurement development, strategic and operational planning, budgeting, program evaluation, and advanced statistical analysis. He has consulted to all levels of government, as well as non-profit organizations and foundations. Ron has subject matter expertise in the areas of employment and training, criminal justice and public safety. Dr. Schack has conducted program evaluations of the USDOJ CT Project Safe Neighborhood Program, the Hartford Student Internship Program, and the Hartford Summer Youth Employment Program. He supports the USDOL Older Worker Program’s performance management system, including setting performance goals and conducting an annual evaluation of performance. Dr. Schack supported the development of the with the Massachusetts Fatherhood Collaborative’s Strategic Plan. He teaches at the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy, including courses on advance quantitative methods and performance accountability.
