Based in the rugged landscape of Hamilton, Victoria, on Gunditjmara Country, Nikkie is a chef by trade, an artist by soul, and the matriarch of a tribe. As a mother of seven sons and a grandmother of two, her world is powered by high-octane "boy energy"—a chaotic, loud, and loving masterclass in resilience that fuels every word she writes.

She is the founder of nikkieMAUDdesign and the architect behind Keystrokes by MAUD, an independent imprint dedicated to grounded stories and metaphysical truths. Her writing is a direct reflection of her life: a blend of grit and spirit, the "Mud and the Marble."

Her debut novel, Barefoot Mud on the Marble, was born from the quiet moments she carved out of the noise—standing barefoot on the earth to recharge her own battery. Nikkie writes for the rebels, the healers, and anyone who knows that the wildest storms often bring the clearest truths.
