Alastair Mciver

Alastair was born in London and now lives in Hertfordshire, England.

His writing is drawn from his many visits to, and experiences in, central Asia, where he witnessed at first hand some of the issues that beset a politically and socially challenged region.

A much travelled tennis journalist and editor, he moved into the charity sector in 2001, before becoming an author.

Having visited the nomadic regions of central Asia, met survivors of social deprivation, and listened to stories from surviving kidnapped brides about the violence they suffered, he determined to write a series of novels, ‘Roza Beshimov investigates’, about corruption and abuses in the region, and the government’s seeming inability to tackle it.

Alastair favours Kingdom Writing, which offers a Christian steer to his work, but which is accessible to both the Christian and secular markets.

His first novel ‘The Daily News – nothing is hidden that will not be revealed,’ is out now. A sequel, ‘No one hears you scream – but silence will be heard,’ is due for publication in the Spring of 2025.
