Allon Adir is a computer research scientist living in Tivon, in Israel’s Lower Galilee. His professional work focuses on cryptography, privacy-preserving computation, quantum computing, and AI. He is a co-author of a Springer book on fully homomorphic encryption.
Outside the lab, he is a keen cyclist and an enthusiast of biblical geography. He created and edits Alamapa, a Hebrew website dedicated to the places of the Bible, and spent several years riding, mapping, and photographing biblical locations for the website and for his new book, A Bummel in the Holy Land: A Cycling Tour of the Bible—a guide to sixteen bike rides through the scenes of the Bible’s best-known stories.
