Pamela Dean lives in Northern California with her husband and their very spoiled golden retriever. She's the proud mother of two wonderful children—who recently discovered they've been replaced in the family hierarchy by the aforementioned retriever.
In the early ’90s, Pamela worked for the U.S. Forest Service on an engine crew out of Adin, California. The breathtaking scenery and unforgettable characters she met during that time inspired her first romantic comedy.
Pamela holds a degree in Fire Science, but after a career-ending injury, she explored a wide range of fascinating jobs. Along the way, she gathered a delightful cast of real-life characters who now live on in her heartwarming, laugh-out-loud novels.
A true child of the ’80s, Pamela sets her stories in that vibrant era—before the internet, smartphones, or swipe-right culture. Back then, meeting someone meant actually going places (like the gym) and hoping that cute guy was working the front desk. Coming home to a blinking answering machine light could spark pure joy—or soul-crushing disappointment if it was just a wrong number.
