Ian Goldsmith

Ian Goldsmith is a British portrait artist and author. He is the founder of the Contemporary British Portrait Painters group, described as ‘a new artists collective redefining portraiture in 2020’ by Artists & Illustrators magazine.

He began investigating colour theory for his work many years ago, and continues to post his findings, thoughts and hand-painted colour wheels and charts on Instagram.

His first book ‘Colour Theory for Artists’ has been translated into three languages so far and sells worldwide.
