Elly Flippen

Elly Flippen is an author and researcher whose work explores perception, consciousness, and the places where ordinary explanations begin to break down.

Her uncle was artist, consciousness researcher, and remote viewing pioneer Ingo Swann. Growing up close to Ingo gave Elly a firsthand view of his creative life, research, and the community of artists, scientists, psychics, and seekers around him.

Her writing moves between experiential nonfiction, memoir and investigation, and speculative fiction. She explores perceptual literacy and awareness, UAPs and the unexplained, memory and reality, and the intersection of lived experience with questions that resist easy answers. She has also written about the more personal side of Ingo... the artist, cook, host, and uncle she knew.

Elly has worked alongside her mother to preserve and document Ingo's artistic and intellectual legacy and support future consciousness research.

A Vassar College graduate with an MBA from Columbia University, Elly follows one question across fiction and nonfiction: What happens when the reality we think we know begins to crack?
