Authors’ Biography: Nando and Jessica Steidel

Pastors Nando and Jessica Steidel have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of three exceptional children: Joshua, 24, married to their now daughter-in-law Kimberly; Caleb, 21; and Jeriel, 18. They have served as senior pastors for 25 years at Iglesia Cristiana Catacumba #9 in Cayey, Puerto Rico.

They are the founders of the ministries Men Discipled, Women Discipled, and Married Couples Discipled, whose mission is to equip believers in the areas of discipleship, restoration, and character formation. For the past 20 years, they have participated in the radio program En Ruta on Nueva Vida 97.7 FM, hosting a segment dedicated to pastoral counseling.

Jessica holds a degree in Special Education Pedagogy, while Nando earned doctorates in Science Education from the University of Puerto Rico and in Pastoral Ministry and Theology from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). Currently, Nando serves as a Tenured Professor in Science Pedagogy at the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus, and as an Adjunct Professor at Biola University/Talbot Theological Seminary. He is also the author of the men’s book “Equipped to Survive.”

Together, they share a deep desire to honor God’s Word and to freely give what they have freely received by grace.
