JVC—that’s Josephine Vistal Cutaran for those who don’t know, though you can call her JVC if you’re feeling fancy. Born and raised in Mindanao, Philippines, she’s no stranger to sunshine (and maybe a few typhoons for spice). After a bit of a shake-up on the north shore of Sydney—thanks, pandemic!—JVC packed up the family and swapped city life for the quiet (and slightly less crowded) charms of the Riverina in New South Wales. Now, she's living the good life in a tiny cottage where gardening, painting, and writing books are her top priorities. Oh, and let’s not forget her day job—she’s busy shaping young minds with the power of art at a local high school. But honestly, between you and me, she’d rather be in her garden, pretending to be a professional artist while sipping on something hot.
