Dr. Sam Watts

Sam Watts has a PhD in cancer survivorship from the University of Southampton’s School of

Medicine, where he worked for ten years. He has led large-scale NHS-funded cancer clinical trials in

several leading hospitals including Southampton General Hospital, the Queen Alexandra Hospital in

Portsmouth and University College London Hospitals NHS Trust.

Sam is also a trained clinician of Ayurvedic and natural medicine and in 2018 he founded Mind-Body

Medical to bring evidence-based and practical Ayurveda to those living in Britain and Europe. Mind-

Body Medical has grown to become one of the leading providers of Ayurveda in Britain.

Sam’s passion lies in studying and exploring the clinical mechanisms that can empower those with

cancer to become exceptional in terms of maximising the quality and quantity of life they

experience. He has published research in leading academic journals and has presented at leading

integrative health and cancer specific conferences across Europe. In 2015 he was awarded the

National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Young Researcher of the Year award for research into

prostate cancer survivorship.
