I was born and raised in the heart and soul of Brooklyn, New York 16 minutes later than my twin brother. Although I was, fashionably, late I came into agreement with God that this was the groundwork laid for the story of my life. My twin passed away 3 months after our 59th birthday and I vowed that going into my 60's without him would be a turning point for me to live that abundant life that God promised in His word. My philosophy became this, "There are no 'too late(s)' in life, only the 'right on time(s)', therefore I know I'm in sync with God's timing". So, I decided to live and be who God created me to be.
He gave me gifts like encouraging others and writing and creating things from an early age. And although I don't have formal training in the discipline of writing, I just have a God inspired connection that trumps the foolish thinking of the wise and profound. Therefore I take great pleasure in presenting my God inspired gifts in hopes that they will touch the hearts of those who come into contact with His gifting.
I've always had an empathetic heart towards other in their moments of pain. A heart to speak life into others, to praise and worship God in Spirit and truth, to help connect people to the truth of who God is, to volunteer, to speak my testimony about what the LORD God has done for me through His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, to be a blessing to others, and for creating something beautiful.
I started blending creativity with meaning through the art of bead work with semi-precious stones, glass beads, and ceramics to compliment my book. Each design I craft is with prayer and intention to bring beauty from the ashes and reflect God's grace, His resilience in one's life and to display the magnificent aesthetics of His creations. I found it to be a wonderful gift that brings joy and a sense of hope to the one who beholds it. This is why and how A Heart Issue was birthed.
Therefore, my desire to see others live a fulfilled bold life in Christ no matter what the world is trying to dictate to them so they can hold onto God's never changing hands and know that there are still saints who honor God and aren't compromising their morals and integrity is a passion embedded in my heart. Knowing that it was always driven by love in spite of any hardships I faced.
I beat the odds of addiction in the late 80's / early 90's, having my children taken from me due to addiction but came back and did my best in raising a big family, survived breast cancer and domestic violence, rape, near death experiences, homelessness, and hopelessness. So. I create
