Steven Lyons

Steven Lyons is a native of Chicago, who began writing poetry to fulfill a seventh-grade writing assignment. Decades later, he presents his first colection, birthed out of life experiences as the only person of color in myriad situations and as a follower of Christ with a burden for reconciliation. He was heavily influenced by Harlem Renaissance writers througout his education, which includes a BA in Communications and an MA in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship. With help and insight from his wife and best friend Janet, he is working on the release of a blog and a novel.
