Growing up in the early 1970’s was a different time when life was simple & supposed to be fun, but for me it was a life of strong physical as well as mental abuse. While other kids played & were loved by their family, I needed to endure harsh cruelties from the hands of my stepfather. The only love I ever knew was that of my mother’s parents.I learned at a very early age how to overcome fear & adapt to adversities just to see the light of the new day. One of the most compelling visions I ever saw revolved around the mystic of the orient culture. It didn’t matter what it may have been.

From a small statue to a photo in a magazine, watching Kung-Fu theater every Saturday at my grandparent’s home & then role playing what it was I watched that day on the tv. Then it was at the age of ten I was formally introduced into my Martial Science training. Through the years I had many great teachers & I have studied several disciplines in earning various Dan ranks along the way. Then I was recruited onto the U.S.A. a traveling Martial Arts Team America where I was able to travel the World, & I had made everlasting connections with amazing Martial Artists within the industry of Martial Science.

I must say that Martial Arts not only saved my life, but it has also taught me so much more than any average schoolbook would have ever taught me. I have learned about diversity in vast cultures, there music, the food, art, language, etc. However, most of all I developed an everlasting bond in dear friendships wherever I have been.

Shortly after my personal retirement from Team America I had felt like my training had hit a brick wall! I then found myself an in-depth personal conversation with Sifu Al Dacascos where he specifically told me that this was normal for those of us who live the Martial Way.

He then told me to learn how to get around this wall & the next he told me that my traits would be a perfect match for one of his personal own lifelong friends to consider me for becoming one of his students.

So, Sifu Al had helped me make this interview & it was with Ron the Black Dragon Van Clief. The interview went well & next I was provided with several tasks I had to fully complete in several distinct parts. Pending the outcome & the review from all of these tasks would then determine my next journey. These tasks took me about nine months to complete & they were fully accepted as was I to next be a member of The Chinese Goju Family & also a proud student of Shidoshi Van Clief.

I had earned my 7th & my 8th Dans with Shidoshi & then was transferred to one of his top students to continue my training & that was with Shidoshi Glenn Perry. I had learned valuable lessons, & yes, I also learned what pain was as well, but most of all I learned the most valuable virtue of patience & persistence.

Today I am a senior member to the Chinese Goju Family, but also to the Black Dragon Aiki-Jutsu family too, & four years ago I was promoted to 10th Dan with the title of a Shidoshi by these two amazing legends.

Next, I was selected to apply to the prestigious organization of World of Headmasters Sokeship Council by Shidoshi Perry after a long 16-month process where I earned my title of Soke which refers to the founding father of a system.

I had been developing my very own system through the years beginning in 2000 & this took a unique turning in 2012 & then in 2022 my system of: “Taikyokuken Ken Sho-Ryu” was fully acknowledged & approved by this council. Now just to mention a few of the Grandmasters I had to hold in council with & accomplish the tasks that were provided by them where such names such as: “Shidoshi Glenn Perry, Grandmaster Carlos Pagan, Grandmaster Odette Russel, as well as Sifu Alan Goldberg, & Grandmaster Cecil Peoples.”

Today I am currently in my 44th year in Living the Martial Sciences, & I hold the Title of Soke. In competition I have a fully documented 1039 wins with that of only two losses over 6 continents spanning over a total of 50 different countries as well as 22 different states here in the beloved United States. Currently I do have over 38 different books that have been published & available on both amazon & Barnes & noble, & have had many articles written about me in fifteen different books & also magazines which were by other authors of Martial Science such as: “Grandmaster Jessie Bowen & Sifu Alan Goldberg, & Grandmaster Wojciech Dolny who resides in Poland.”

I have also been extremely blessed to be inducted into over 36 different Halls of Fame in various categories both here in the United States, & Internationally.I have been inducted on numerous occasions on international circuits in many Categories in the following countries: “Poland, India, Italy, Argentina, Germany, & London.”

I humbly still to this day besides all of my own personal Martial Science training proudly work for the United States Postal service as a veteran Letter Carrier going on 35 years this current year of 2024; servicing the community where I actually grew up in the town of Webster Ma & have been residing a few towns over in Auburn Ma for 30 years now.

My Dojo’s name is QuickSilver the Silver Dragon & I teach privately & I also provide seminars upon request. This goes to show you that really it doesn’t matter where it is you come from, but if you follow your heart in making your dreams all come true that anything is possible. As I said Martial Science saved my life & has provided me in discovering the World. So, I next will ask you to invoke all of your inner spirits in the path of Martial Sciences & make that commitment of becoming a Sensei.

Then please continue your journey & leave your own personal knowledge from your trials & tribulations for the next & new generations of Martial Artist to aspire to.
