Kjersti Aicken

Kjersti Aicken (formerly Friggstad) grew up in Frontier, a small town nestled in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, where she wrote her first book at age 6: “Unicorns and Dragons.” This set off a lifelong love of creating stories, poems, and a handful of mostly-embarrassing songs.

After some time in Alberta—first at the Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute in Camrose and then at Medicine Hat College—Kjersti moved to Saskatoon, where she became a disability support worker for eight very impactful years. Within that time, a former Bible School classmate caught her attention. Kjersti and Bryan got married on the coldest but happiest day of 2009.

Now a mother of three in the town of Rosthern, Kjersti remains an avid reader of multiple genres. She has a special place in her heart for Christian fiction, viewing many of these authors as mentors whose stories have helped her grow in her faith over the years. As a highly sensitive person, and a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser, she has a passion for the subject of freedom from emotional, relational, and spiritual strongholds. Her hope is that her stories will provide entertainment alongside ministry to her readers, and help them draw nearer to God in the process.
