Rohan Mody

Hi there! I’m Rohan Mody, and I live in bustling Mumbai, India, with my wonderful family of six. We’re three generations under one roof, including my lively 90-year-old grandmother (A gem), my parents & go to moral boosters—Jasmina Mody (a Pharmacist) and Sunil Mody (a Plastic Engineer)—my incredible wife, Vidhi Mody (B.A, LLB, B.Ed., choreographer, and my greatest inspiration), our energetic son Agastya Mody, and our loyal dog, Hachiko. Life is full, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m an animation engineer by education, a businessman by profession, an author by inspiration, and a dancer by passion! I run a rapidly growing plastic manufacturing family business with over 100 employees—doubling every year—and the challenges of COVID pushed me to develop new skills and hacks to get us back on track. That journey sparked the creation of my quick-read books, especially in self-help and business. I believe in “read less, do more,” so my books are all about actionable steps that can get people moving without endless theory.

As for mystery, adventure, and storytelling, those come from my love for animation and tech. I’ve always been fascinated by animated movies, creativity, and the magic of storytelling. Writing mysteries, thrillers, and fiction lets me tap into those passions and create something fun for readers. Adventure, especially, has been inspired by my wife, Vidhi. She ignited my love for travel, and together we’ve explored many unknowns, which makes writing about adventure so thrilling.

For me, storytelling is the heart of everything. Whether it’s self-help, business, fiction, or even a fun colouring book for kids, I aim to educate, entertain, and inspire action. My biggest creative influence is John Lasseter from Pixar Studios, whose words resonate deeply with me:-

"If you're sitting in your minivan, playing your computer-animated films for your children in the back seat, is it the animation that's entertaining you as you drive and listen? No, it's the storytelling. That's why we put so much importance on the story. No amount of great animation will save a bad story."

That’s the philosophy I bring to all my work. Whether I’m writing self-help, adventure, or a fun colouring book for tech-savvy kids, I strive to create stories and content that leave you inspired, ready to act, and excited to explore new worlds!
