Nicolas Gattig

A Tokyo resident for many years now living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Nicolas Gattig is ideally suited to report from cultural intersections with insight, humor and empathy. He has written extensively about Japan and Japanese literature, publishing short stories, essays and poetry in numerous journals and anthologies, including Asia Literary Review, the Pakistan Express Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Foreign Literary Journal. For more than a decade, Gattig was a contributing writer at the Japan Times, where he did essays and book reviews.
