MJ Walker

MJ is a coffee-fuelled, storyteller from the Midlands with a love for dogs, vegan treats, and cycling through the countryside (when she’s not too busy chasing her overactive imagination). She’s been writing since she was 10, and hasn’t been able to sit still since—seriously, it’s a problem. Whether it’s poetry or fiction, her work is a blend of ancient history, quirky ideas, and a dash of horror for good measure. Shhh - if you ask nicely she will tell you about her spicy works too.

Her first novel was published in the USA when she was 25, which sounds impressive until you realize she just needed something to do with all that creative energy! A self-confessed horror movie junkie, she spends her downtime thinking up eerie plot twists, constantly DIYing or pretending to be calm (she’s not).

When she’s not writing, you’ll find her enjoying the quiet of the countryside, fixing or making something, or daydreaming about what ancient historic civilizations would be like if they involved more gin and Wi-Fi. She continues to write because, let's face it, her mind’s way too busy for any other career.
