Michael O'Donnell

Michael O'Donnell has taught journalism for more than 35 years, the past 23 at Minnesota's University of St. Thomas, where he helped create one of the first online-only student news organizations, the award-winning TommieMedia. His teaching resumé includes classes in publication design, graphic design, visual communications, editing and magazine writing. His professional experience ranges from the smallest daily newspaper in Iowa to the Chicago Tribune. He has taught workshops for the National Scholastic Press Association, ThreeSixty Journalism, continuing education and various schools on page design, graphics, photojournalism and editing.
