Emily Schulten is the author of three collections of poems, including Easy Victims to the Charitable Deceptions of Nostalgia, the 2023 White Pine Press Poetry Prize winner, and The Way a Wound Becomes a Scar, a 2023 Eric Hoffer Award Finalist. She is the recipient of a 2024 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship, the winner of the 2024 Ralph Angel Poetry Prize, the 2023 Geri Digiorno Multi-Genre Prize, and the 2016 Erskine J. Prize for Poetry. Schulten is the 2024-26 Poet Laureate of the City of Key West, where she serves as a Professor of English and creative writing and the director of CFK Poetics at The College of the Florida Keys.
