Brittany Engstrand

Brittany Engstrand writes genre-bending dark fiction that incorporates mental health representation. Brittany was first successfully published in 2024 by a small publishing company. Her fantasy-romance debut, Ascension, was nominated for the 2025 Compton Crook Award by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, selling hundreds of copies in the first year. Outside fictional worlds, she obtained her Bachelor's of Science in 2013, and holds a career in the legal department of a Fortune-500 company. She can otherwise be found doodling character art, traipsing around her Virginia Beach hometown with her husband and three kids, or obsessing about her most recent hyper fixation.
