I’m Dr. Zahra Hussein, and my passion for cooking began at an early age, growing up in Lyon, France, where I was inspired by my mother, a talented chef. Watching her effortlessly create delicious meals in the kitchen sparked my love for food and the desire to understand the art behind it. Her dedication and creativity laid the foundation for my culinary journey.
I pursued my studies in Food and Nutrition, eventually earning a Master’s degree from the University of Munich in Germany. This academic experience allowed me to refine my skills and gain a deeper understanding of the science behind food, nutrition, and culinary arts. It also provided me with a broader perspective on how food can contribute to overall health and well-being.
My love for culinary exploration took me across Europe and beyond. From the bustling food markets of Italy to the vibrant street food scenes in Southeast Asia, I immersed myself in the diverse cooking traditions of different cultures. These experiences broadened my understanding of global cuisine and inspired me to create dishes that celebrate the flavors of the world.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to make an impact in my community. I’ve worked on projects aimed at promoting healthy eating habits in schools and organized cooking workshops to help people rediscover the joy of preparing nutritious meals. I believe that food has the power to bring people together and improve lives, and I’m committed to sharing that belief through my work.
Today, I continue to create recipes that combine my Lyonnaise heritage with the flavors and techniques I’ve learned from my travels, always striving to make cooking accessible, enjoyable, and nourishing for everyone.
