Merlynne Tuwizana

Merlynne Tuwizana is the author of She’s Beautiful Inside & Out, a children’s book about self-love, kindness, and empowerment. Born in Lewisham, South East London, and proud of her Congolese heritage, Merlynne’s stories inspire young readers, especially girls, to embrace who they are and build confidence.

Growing up as the ninth of eleven children in a close family, Merlynne’s creativity and compassion were shaped by love and support. Though her parents, Beatrice and Paul, are no longer with her, their values continue to guide her.

Merlynne is also a self-taught illustrator and believes in showing diverse characters in her books. Alongside her creative work, she’s a skilled software developer, blending her technical skills with her passion for storytelling.
