R. Willis Smith

Roger Willis Smith's degree in communications and love for human interaction have shaped both his personal and professional life. A keen observer of human behavior, Smith is driven by a desire to understand how people connect and coexist.

His career in utility software began in 1994 at Central Service Association in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he worked as a communications specialist before moving into marketing. In 2009, he became the Chief Business Development Officer.

In 2022, Smith launched RWSmith ETC, LLC, focusing on education, training, and consulting in the utility sector. He also started writing the story of Joshua Booker, utilizing his lifelong passion for creative writing.

Writing both fiction (The Joshua Booker thriller series) and non-fiction (They Don't Build Monuments Honoring Managers) provides a creative outlet for both his passion for workforce training and his love of the thriller genre.

Married to Lisa for over 38 years, Smith enjoys college sports, especially Mississippi State University football and baseball, reading, writing, golf, woodworking, travel, cooking, and eating.
