Danny Davis

Business futurist, board advisor, executive mentor, keynote speaker and transformational change expert, Danny Davis has developed breakthrough insights over 40 years advising thousands of executives across start-ups, governments and large global companies.

He explains how organizations think, how they can mature to become more effective, and how leaders can work better to build and direct their value creation machinery. “There is nothing more powerful than people gaining an altered world-view… gaining a fresh perspective from which they can better apply their own passion and skill for great outcomes”.

Danny has been described as “the real deal” for his capacity to see through complexity to identify practical steps to overcome wicked-problem challenges. As a technology entrepreneur in his own right he was twice awarded ‘fast-50’ status for his role as founding CEO.

Danny is a leading expert in Governance of Value Creation, future oriented accounting, and enhanced decision-making. He is a professional discipline polymath, and technology, innovation and organizational governance master-craftsman. He has served on commercial, educational, government and not-for-profit boards, and as national representative on ISO standards development for corporate governance, IT governance, AI governance, and innovation management. He has served as visiting fellow at the University of Technology Sydney Institute of Public Policy and Governance, and Strategic Advisor at Swinburne University. He holds a PhD in enhanced corporate governance.

Danny champions national and global transformation as executive director of the Institute of Performance Sciences “engaging long-term capital with sustained high-performance value-creation – inside companies and across capital markets”. And at the national scale, as executive director of the Australian Institute of Performance Sciences – focused on increasing effective innovation and productivity across the top 50% of Australian GDP.

Danny's first book ‘Commodore 64 machine language for the absolute beginner’ sold over 40,000 copies, and won the 1985 UK Computer Book of the Year award. He now writes in English.

Happiest working in the unknown, Danny has performed in improvised theatre, presented comedy programs on community radio, and was Festival Co-Director of the 2012 South Melbourne Street Fair along with 25,000 of his closest personal friends. He considered being a chef when he was younger - until he realized it meant making dishes the same way every time. He now cooks for sport.

Danny is a truly original independent thinker, a generator of visionary insight, an enthusiastic and motivational communicator, and a pragmatic corporate entrepreneur.
