Rita Faria

Rita Faria was born and grew up in the city of Guimarães in the north of Portugal. She has always had a passion for languages and teaching. Rita has a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in translation, both from the University of Minho, Portugal.

For over a decade Rita lived in various countries in Europe to expand her cultural knowledge and language skills. She has lived in Barcelona, London, Berlin and Munich. Rita is primarily a translator and teacher of Portuguese as a Foreign Language and has experiences working at the Volkshochschule München in Germany (Vocational School in Munich). Winner of the 2019 merit award from the Association of Professionals in Translation and Interpretation (APTRAD).

Rita is the co-founder of an online website and podcast called Portuguese from Portugal. She has also written and published multiple books to help students of European Portuguese to learn and improve their knowledge of the language.
