Dr. Cynthia D. Johnson is the visionary founder and creative force behind DSC Publishers, Inc., a full-service publishing company she has owned and operated since 2008. Originally established in Central Florida and now licensed in Georgia, Dr. Johnson has successfully built a network of skilled outsourced professionals over the past 15+ years, helping authors transform their ideas into professionally published works.

In 2011, she made the intentional decision to further her education, strengthening both her personal and professional foundation. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development and a master’s degree in Human Service Counseling, with a focus on Public Policy and Blended Families. She later achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Christian Ethics and Business Management, equipping her with a unique blend of faith-based principles and business expertise.

Through DSC Publishers, Inc., Dr. Johnson works across a wide range of genres, including children’s literature, inspirational books, and journals. Her client base includes educators, medical professionals, and faith leaders. With a commitment to purpose-driven publishing, DSC does not produce erotica, choosing instead to focus on content that uplifts, educates, and inspires.

Her work has been featured across magazines, networking platforms, and blogs, opening doors for her to participate in community events where she reads to children, inspires them to discover their purpose, and facilitates empowerment sessions, particularly for young girls of color—focused on building confidence and self-esteem.

As an accomplished author, Dr. Johnson has released multiple children’s books, including her fifth title, “Looking for My Purpose in Life,” available on Amazon. This engaging poetry-based book encourages elementary-aged children to explore their identity and purpose early in life. Her recent releases also include “Teacher Sandi Gives An A” and “My, My, My, Look at the Butterfly.”

In addition to publishing, Dr. Johnson is a dedicated trainer and mentor who teaches aspiring authors the business of book publishing through group sessions and one-on-one workshops. Above all, Dr. Johnson is a proud mother of two business-minded daughters, a supportive son-in-law, and a loving grandmother to five grandsons, her greatest inspiration and legacy.
