Deborah D. Stine

Dr. Deborah D. Stine is the Founder of the Science & Technology Policy Academy. Previously, she served in the Obama White House as Executive Director of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, a Science & Technology Specialist at the Congressional Research Service, a study director at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and as a professor of the practice in engineering and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Stine was elected a Fellow of the American Association of the Advancement of Science and received a Carnegie Science Communication award for her ability to explain complex scientific and technical information to policymakers and the public. She has a BS in mechanical and environmental engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in public policy analysis and public administration. She is also a certified career and leadership coach.
