Sharon LaCour grew up in New Orleans hearing her relatives speak the language of the Louisiana Acadians. Most of her writing takes place in the Deep South often, but not always, involving Louisiana French culture. Her tales also include relationships across generations and races. She has stories published in a variety of journals including the Xavier, Arkansas, Sheepshead and Chautauqua Reviews. She loves gardening and her work as a piano instructor in Lafayette, Louisiana where she cares for a husband, a young Carolina dog and a twenty-year old orange tabby cat. Her debut novel The Meeting of Air and Water came out in August, 2024.
