Marcelo Rioseco, a Chilean poet, is recognized for his distinguished literary career. In 1995, his book Ludovicos o la aristocracia del universo was awarded the prestigious Poetry Prize "Revista de libros," granted by the newspaper El Mercurio in Santiago, Chile. Throughout his career, he has published several poetry books, including Espejo de enemigos (2010), 2323 Stratford Ave. (2012), and La vida doméstica (2016), which earned him the "Premio Academia," awarded by the Chilean Academy of Language for the best book of the year. In 2022, he published Olivia en los suburbios in Spain through Valparaíso Ediciones. In 2024, the Chilean publisher Cuarto Propio published his latest book Midori & 18-O, and the Venezuelan publisher La Castalia released an anthology of his work titled Poesía Selecta.
He is currently the General Editor of the Latin American contemporary literature magazine Latin American Literature Today (LALT), published by the University of Oklahoma in the United States.
