Aaryn K. Coley

AARYN K. COLEY began writing poetry at age 14, around the time she fell in love with hip-hop. Since then, whether on the school bus or the subway, she could be found listening to music with a pen and book of rhymes in hand. The daughter of a business executive and a newspaper publisher, she grew up in NY, NJ, and PA. Upon graduating from high school, she began her career as the assistant editor of her father’s newspaper, the Community Journal while also beginning college at NY University and completing film and screenwriting programs at NY Film Academy. After beginning her family, Aaryn moved to GA and continued her education at the University of West GA, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education while raising her children. She currently resides in Georgia where she enjoys her rewarding work as an educator. Above all other accomplishments, Aaryn regards her children as her greatest blessings and her role as their mother as her most significant contribution to the world.
