Isabel Márquez

I was born in Badalona in 1968. I grew up as a very happy child until illness and misfortune entered my life, taking away one of my pillars, my father. This event changed my life entirely when I was just sixteen years old.

Since then, my drive for self-improvement, passion for knowledge, and creativity led me to become a Mental Health Nurse Specialist and later a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology.

My insatiable curiosity and innovative spirit compel me to explore new ways of understanding and transforming the world, always with countless projects in mind.

I am a staunch advocate for equality and justice, using my writing to give a voice to those who have none. This commitment has earned me numerous research awards, including the PERIS Fellowship granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

My works, Alpha Et Omega, the first volume of the trilogy Magdala Tempus Fugit (2024), I Confess Myself a Witch (2021), From the Asylum with Love (2021), and Good Morning, Asylum, How May I Help You? (2017), challenge established norms and reflect my dedication to truth.

Through my books, I invite you to embark on a literary journey where the past, the present, and emotions intertwine in an unforgettable experience, uncovering some of humanity’s darkest secrets.
