Mary Hicks

Mary Hicks grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University. She then moved to Missouri and worked as a children’s social worker for many years. Mary continued her education and attended Missouri Baptist University to become a teacher. Combining her social work experience with her educational knowledge she spent 13 years working in education specializing in work with "at risk" children, and an additional 8 years as a special education teacher.

Mary retired from teaching in 2021 and began pursuing her love of reading and studying subjects that interested her, and a big one of those was Heaven. She says, "It is a passion of mine to learn about and expand on truths about Heaven, especially for children. We serve a faithful God who tells us that if we seek him we will find him."

Mary and her husband Mike have 2 grown children. They live in northeast Missouri in the beautiful hills of Pike county where, Mary says, "connecting with the Lord through his word and creation here is a daily gift."
