Eddie Ferguson

My very first kid's adventure book just got released on Amazon. It has a portal fantasy element that starts on Earth but quickly transports the main character and his faithful hound to a different planet. Book 2 has already been accepted by the publisher, and book 3 is almost complete. My vision is a 9 book series, but we'll see how the adventure unfolds. Here is my bio:

Eddie Ferguson grew up along the bayous south of Houston, where muddy trails, dense woods, fishing trips, and long humid summers sparked a lifelong love of adventure, storytelling, and the outdoors. Surrounded by old boats, project cars, and hardworking people who believed in fixing things instead of throwing them away, he developed an early fascination with mechanics, craftsmanship, and problem-solving that would later shape both his career and his writing.

After serving in the United States Air Force, Eddie carried those same values of resilience, leadership, and ingenuity into civilian life. His military experiences exposed him to people and places far beyond Texas, which gave him a deeper appreciation for perseverance, teamwork, and the quiet strength found in ordinary individuals facing extraordinary situations. Those themes continue to influence his storytelling today.

When he’s not writing, Eddie enjoys working on old project cars, learning new skills, exploring the outdoors, and learning practical trades simply for the joy of mastering them. It’s almost like he’s just out here picking up side quests at this point in his life. Many of the characters, environments, and challenges in his stories are inspired by his real-world experiences with mechanics, wilderness exploration, and the colorful personalities he has encountered throughout his life.

Blending adventure, humor, and heartfelt moments, Eddie’s writing reflects his belief that courage, redemption, and purpose can often be found in the most unexpected places.
