Mavis Himes

Mavis Himes is a psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist maintaining a practice in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in Toronto. Mavis is the author of two published works of non-fiction The Sacred Body: A Therapist’s Journey and The Power of Names: Uncovering the Mystery of What We are Called. Her work has also appeared in several academic and non-academic journals. Well into her years, Mavis decided to take up the cello and is now an aspiring cellist. Her book CELLO NOTES: MUSIC AND THE URGENCY OF TIME is now available.
