Vardges Davtyan was born and lived in Yerevan, Armenia. He graduated from the Yerevan State Medical University and became a psychiatrist, working as an assistant professor at the same university. After earning his doctoral degree in Philosophy, he worked as a researcher on the presidential staff and published several studies.
In 2000, Vardges Davtyan moved to the U.S. and began writing fiction. He has authored eighteen books containing psychological commentary and literary flash fiction. Some of his short stories have been published in The Almanac of Short Stories, Paris, France, 2017. In the same year, a selection of his prose was published by the literary journal Eleven Eleven of the California College of the Arts in San Francisco (issue No. 23). This is his first book published in English.
