Gloria Patrick Sumter

My name is Gloria Patrick Sumter. I am from and live in rural Nelson County, Virginia. I have been an educator in my county for 44 years, teaching grades kindergarten, first, fourth, and then serving as a Reading Specialist for grades K-5. I have loved my job and have always adored children's books. I recently retired and decided that now is the time to pursue my dream of writing for children. I have two adult daughters and three grandchildren who give me life. My first book, The Memory, is dedicated to them in hopes that they will continue to develop wonderful memories with me that will stay with them for a lifetime.
