Amelia Chaffinch

Writing under her pen name, Amelia Chaffinch was born in England but moved to Wales when just a young child. Now a fluent Welsh speaker and married with 3 grown up daughters and several grandchildren she produces children's books, notebooks and self help journals in both English and Welsh, whilst also writing her first novel.

As a young child whenever she was lucky enough to be given pocket money, she would run to the local newsagents shop where, rather than buying sweets, she would linger at the stationary shelf pondering which notebook or pencil to buy. She would then rush back home to place her new treasured purchase with her growing collection in the school style desk with lift up lid that her father had built for her – dreaming of one day becoming a successful author. To this day the stationary section is her favourite department when visiting a store!
