Jennifer Aaron-Foster

University of Leeds alumni and short-listed for the Headline Money ‘Rising Star of the Year Award’, Jennifer Aaron-Foster turned her hand from financial print media, to broadcast journalism. She moved to the Middle East where she landed a broadcasting role at City7 TV. There she presented live news reports from the Dubai and Abu Dhabi stock exchanges, and interviewed high profile business leaders, celebrities, politicians and members of royalty. A documentary [Longbelly TV] which Jennifer scripted and narrated, screened at the Portobello Film Festival in 2012, but the allure to write a novel would take her down a different path. A long-time member of PEN International, Jennifer joined ‘Black Girl Writers’ and received mentorship from Buki Papillon (Little, Brown) and other prominent writers in the industry. Jennifer cites C.S Lewis, Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as major inspirations. She believes stories are spiritual and culture-connecting vehicles, and when done properly - they change lives.

For over a decade, Jennifer and her husband, John, from West Yorkshire, lived in East London with their three children and their precocious cat, but they eventually outgrew their shoebox home and moved out of the city.

Jennifer’s debut novel - The Baby Whisperer - is available on eBook and in Paperback [Littoral Publishing] October 15th 2024.
