William O. Dwyer

Born in Rochester, NY. Raised on eastern Long Island. High school in Port Jefferson, NY (three miles from Setauket, headquarters of Gen. Washington's Culper Spy Ring). BA from the College of Wooster (Ohio); MS & Ph.D. (Psychology) from Southern Illinois University; Professor at the University of Memphis; 21 seasons as a Law Enforcement Ranger with the National Park Service (Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, Acadia). Member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the NY Society of the Cincinnati, the Descendants of Washington's Army at Valley Forge; 40-year involvement with family history research. Husband and father.
