Who is David Williams
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
At 77 years old I became a writer in my 76th year. Cleveland, Ohio is my hometown. Stops in Boston, Babson College led me back to Cleveland where with 3 other high-school friends THE MAD HATTER NIGHT CLUB became Cleveland's first disco. Those were fun days and nights - my first job team experience.
A few years later I was married and soon learned, correctly, the night club business did not harmonize with married life. I was fortunate to be able to join a family business on a full-time basis where I spent several summers working there during high school and college.
Fast forward 10 years and all generations knew the business; which still resides within the family today, was growing slower than the family members involved. Our family was growing as well, a girl and boy; both of whom are mentioned in the book, made us four. Problem solved, as a few of us purchased a proprietary line, which was spun off to a new enterprise. I ran this business for about 22 years.
Fast forward again and I became involved in my wife's venture. Marg, my wife, earlier founded her own company (MARG of Pepper Pike) concentrating on women’s jewelry and fashion accessories. This business soon took us to S E Florida for several years.
We live in Columbus, Georgia, where MOPP continues, and book writing has become a new pursuit.
