Wendy Hart

This is the debut novel of the author, a retired lawyer. Over 20 years ago, Wendy’s life was turned upside down by a rare neurological disease that left her with speech articulation dysfunction and impaired mobility. Set in the early twentieth century, the novel follows the journey of a migrant girl from a rural area near Belfast to the colonial outpost of Brisbane, Australia. The tale draws inspiration from the life of the author's paternal grandmother.
